BHEGroup has some exciting news to share! We have recently moved into a larger office space in downtown Portland. The office, still located in the Congress Building on SW Fifth Avenue, gives us the opportunity to interact face-to-face with our clients in the greater Portland area for both mechanical and civil engineering services. Additionally, Aaron Schiess, PE recently joined our team in the Portland office. Aaron is a senior mechanical engineer with over 12 years of experience designing energy-efficient mechanical and plumbing systems for the education, civic and commercial markets. Our vision for our newest team member included a senior engineer with strong mechanical and plumbing design skills and a commitment to the highest quality client service. Aaron has all of those attributes and more! Adding Aaron to our team means our clients will have access to another top-level engineer to support their mechanical and plumbing project needs.
BHEGroup would like to congratulate David Looney, PE on earning his professional engineer certification as a civil engineer. David has been part of the BHEGroup civil engineering team since 2011 and has contributed to the historic renovations at both Roosevelt and Grant High Schools.

Jamey Montoya, PLS, BHEGroup's Survey Manager shares his experience as a public speaker. "This year, the Professional Land Surveyors of Oregon (PLSO) held their annual conference in Eugene, Oregon on January 20 – 22, 2016. Every year, the conference offers surveyors opportunities to learn more about new trends in the industry, network with other surveyors and support outreach efforts. I was invited to give a presentation, “Expanding Your Boundaries Through Outreach,” on the final day of the conference. Five years ago, I would have never envisioned myself doing any sort of marketing or business development outreach, let alone speaking at the PLSO conference on the topic. By expanding my boundaries, and stretching beyond my comfort zone, outreach to our clients and potential clients became my passion! My presentation touched on the momentary pain associated with growth and how I expanded my network to include students, real estate and title professionals and the general public. Never stop expanding your boundaries, you never know where you will end up. You could be the next speaker at a professional conference or the star business development professional at your company." Good job, Jamey!
