Changing the name of the firm better reflects our culture, where everyone at BHEGroup participates in achieving results.”

In 1954, Jim Balzhiser founded a mechanical engineering firm in Eugene, Oregon. Balzhiser & Hubbard Engineers eventually added civil engineering and land-surveying services to form what is today a multi-discipline consulting firm serving clients from offices in Eugene and Portland. Today’s BHEGroup supports the healthcare, education and research/laboratory communities by continually focusing our efforts on staying at the leading edge of development for these types of complex facilities. Experience, expertise and forethought enables BHEGroup to effectively lead and guide projects as a trusted advisor to clients.

With clients across the Pacific Northwest, BHEGroup has designed projects in Oregon, Washington and Montana. BHEGroup has been on the team of many local award-winning projects including the University of Oregon Lewis Integrative Science Building, Oregon State University William Tebeau Resident Hall, Lane Community College Downtown Eugene Campus, EWEB Roosevelt Operations Center and PeaceHealth’s University District, RiverBend and Cottage Grove facility improvements.
